Proportional Relationships

TermDefinition
Ratio a comparison of two quantities using division.
Equivalent Ratios are ratios that name the same comparison.
Rate compares two quantities measured in different units.
Unit Rate when your comparison is to one unit.
Coordinate Grid formed by the intersection of horizontal and vertical lines that is used to locate points.
Ordered Pair where on the coordinate grid each point is located.
Proportion An equation that shows two equivalent ratios.
Percent A ratio of a number to 100.
