Three-Dimensional figures
| Term | Definition |

| polyhedron | a 3-dimensional object in which all the flat surfaces or faces are polygons |
| face | a flat surface of a polyhedron |
| edge | the line segment along which two faces of a polyhedron intersect |
| vertex | the point on a polyhedron at which 3 or more faces meet; on a cone or pyramid, the top point |
| prism | a polyhedron that has two congruent, polygon-shaped bases and other faces that are all parallelograms |
| base | a face of a 3-dimensional figure by which the figure is measured or classified |
| pyramid | a polyhedron with a polygon base and triangular sides share a vertex |
| cylinder | a 3-dimensional figure with two parallel congruent circular bases connected by a curved lateral surface |
| cone | a 3-dimensional figure with one vertex and one circular base |
