What is a double covalent bond? Consists of two pairs of shared electrons. it is formed by sharing two pairs of electrons between two atoms. It is actually a combination of two single covalent bonds.
What is a single covalent bond? Consists of one pair of shared electrons, or it formed by sharing one pair of electrons or two electrons between the atoms each contributing one atom to the bond.
What is a monatomic ion An ion that contains only one ion.
Whats is an Ion? Whaen an Atom looses or gains electron (s) it attains a charge and is called an Ion.

What is a non polar covalent bond? A covalent bond between two atoms who's difference in electronegativity is less than 0.5
What is a polar covalent bond? a covalent bond betwenn two atoms whose difference in electronegativity is between 0.5 and 1.9
What is an ionic bond? a chemical bond resulting from the attraction between a positive ion and a negative ion.
Explain Daltons atomic theory? 1. All matter is made up of tiny indivisible particles called atoms. 2. All atoms of the same element have the same chemical properties.Atoms of different elements have different properties. 3. Compounds are formed by chemical combination of 2+ different
What is a main group element? The elements in columns 1a and 8a.
What are the three rules that apply to determining the ground state electron configuration of an atom? 1. Orbitals fill in the order of increasing energy from lowest to highest. 2. each orbital can hold up to two electrons with spins paired. 3. when there ia a set of orbitals of equal energy each orbital becomes half filled before any of them are complet
