Quadrilateral | A polygon with four sides |

Triangle | A polygon with three sides |

Hexagon | A polygon with six sides |

Pentagon | A polygon with five sides |

Rhombus | A quadrilateral with four congruent sides |

Square | A quadrilateral with four congruent sides and four right angles |

Parallelogram | A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides |

Trapezoid | A quadrilateral with only one pair of parallel sides |

Regular Polygon | A polygon with all sides congruent and all angles congruent |

Diagonal | A segment that connects two non-adjacent vertices of a polygon |

Right Triangle | A triangle with one right angle |

Acute Triangle | A triangle with three acute angles |

Obtuse Triangle | A triangle with one obtuse angle |

Triangle angle sum | The sum of the measures of the three angles of a triangle is 180 degrees |

Quadrilateral angle sum | The sum of the measures of the four angles of a quadrilateral is 360 degrees |

Equilateral Triangle | A triangle with three congruent sides |

Isosceles Triangle | A triangle with two congruent sides |

Scalene Triangle | A triangle with no congruent sides (all sides are different lengths) |

Area | The amount of space inside a shape |

Perimeter | The length around the outside of a shape |

Supplementary Angles | A pair of angles with a sum of 180 degrees |

Complimentary Angles | A pair of angles with a sum of 90 degrees |
