metaphor | a figure of speech that contains an implied comparison; |
potency | power; strength; force |
simile | a figure of speech that compares two unlike things using as or like |
abrasive | an irritant; causing irritation; rude and unfriendly; a substance used for grinding or for cleaning surfaces |
