Factors affecting NZ

NZE in New Zealand

Social Factors Contemporary New Zealand has a diverse culture with influences from English, Scottish, Irish, American, Australian and Maori cultures, along with those of other European cultures.
Historical Factors Immigration to NZ to Aus. has had significant bearing on the way NZE developed. NZE or 'New Zild' is generally thought to have emerged in its present form as late as the 1940s.
Cultural Factors Maori are the Tangata Whenua, the indigenous people, of New Zealand. They came to New Zealand more than 1000 years ago from their mythical Polynesian homeland of Hawaiki.
