To destroy or kill bacteria and a broad spectrum of viruses on nonporous surfaces, such as implements. Disinfection
To destroy or kill all microbes. Sterilization
required for all tools and implements that have come in contact with blood or body fluids. This of disinfection requires the use of an EPA-registered disinfectant labeled as effective against HIV and HBV or tuberculocidal Bloodborne pathogen disinfection
