| Term | Definition |

| February | the second month of the year, between January and March |
| entrance | a door, gate etc that you go through to enter a place, OPP exit |
| valley | an area of lower land between two lines of hills or mountains, usually with a river flowing through it |
| freight | goods that are carried by ship, train, or aircraft, and the system of moving these goods |
| discard | to get rid of something SYN throw away |
| president | the official leader of a country that does not have a king or queen, the person who has the highest position in a company or organization |
| aware | if you are aware of something, you notice it, especially because you can see, hear, feel, or smell it |
| trouble | problems or difficulties, used when saying what is bad about a person or situation or what causes problems |
| situation | a combination of all the things that are happening and all the conditions that exist at a particular time in a particular place I explained the situation to everyone. |
| station | a place where trains or buses regularly stop so that passengers can get on and off, goods can be loaded etc, or the buildings at such a place, train, gas, tv station |
| description | a piece of writing or speech that gives details about what someone or something is like |
| prescription | a particular medicine or treatment ordered by a doctor for a sick person, an idea or suggestion about how you should behave, or how to make a situation, activity etc successful |
| subscription | an amount of money you pay, usually once a year, to receive copies of a newspaper or magazine, or receive a service, or the act of paying money for this |
| condition | the state that something is in, especially how good or bad its physical state is in (a) good/poor/excellent/terrible etc condition |
| introduction | the act of bringing something into use for the first time, the act of formally telling two people each other’s names when they first meet |
| technique | a special way of doing something → method, when you are playing music, doing a sport etc |
| divisible | able to be divided, for example by a number |
| array | a group of people or things, especially one that is large or impressive, numbers or signs, or of computer memory units, arranged in lines across or down |
| composite | made up of different parts or materials, |
| factorization | official permission to do something, or the document giving this permission, SYN authority |
| greatest | used to emphasize that you are talking about the one thing that is the biggest, greatest etc |
