Gramophone - Noun A phonograph. A machine which plays such records, using a clockwork motor and acoustic horn as its design. The first commercially successful record player. Antique record player.
Megaphone - Noun A cone-shaped device used to make one's voice louder, or to direct the sound; chiefly used in addressing large audiences outside, or calling at a distance. A cone-shaped voice amplifier.
Microphone - Noun An instrument capable of transforming sound waves into changes in electric currents or voltage, used in recording or transmitting sound. An instrument for recording, amplifying, or sending sound.
Phonetic - Adjective Of or relating to spoken language, speech sounds, the transcription in written symbols, or the science of the study of language. Using a system of written symbols that represent speech sounds in a way that is close to how they actually sound.
Symphony - Noun An elaborate instrumental composition in three or more movements, written for an orchestra. A concert performed by an orchestra. A harmony of sound.
Anthropic - Adjective Of or relating to human beings or their span of existence on earth.
Anthropoid - Adjective Adjective = Resembling a human in form. Noun = Any of a suborder of higher primates (apes) which resemble humans. Something that resembles a human.
Anthropology - Noun The science that deals with the origins of human beings, as well as physical and cultural development, biological characteristics, and social customs of humans. The science of humans and their works.
Lycanthrope - Noun A werewolfor alien spirit in the physical form of a bloodthirsty wolf. A person who believes that he is a wolf.
Philanthropist - Noun A wealthy person who gives money and time to help make life better for other people.
Articulate - Adjective Adjective = Uttered clearly in distinct syllables. Capable of speech. Verb = To utter clearly and distinctly; to pronounce with clarity. To unite by a joint or joints (such as a moveable puppet). To reveal or make distinct.
Cavort - Verb To prance or caper about. To behave in a high-spirited, festive manner; to make merry. To prance about.
Coherent - Adjective Logically connected; consistent. Having a natural or due agreement of parts; harmonious. Sticking together.
Garner - Verb Verb = To gather or deposit in, or as if in, a granary or other storage place. To get, aquire, or earn. To gather, collect, or hoard. Noun = A granary or grain bin. A store or supply of anything.
Myopic - Adjective Pertaining to being nearsighted. Unable or unwilling to act prudently; shortsighted. Lacking tolerance or understanding; narrow-minded.
