Dysentry - Noun An infectious disease marked by inflammation and ulceration of the lower part of the bowels, with diarrhea that becomes bloody and full of mucus.
Dysfunction - Noun The condition of having poor or unhealthy behaviors within a group of people.
Dyslexia - Noun Any of various reading disorders associated with an impairment of the ability to interpret spatial relationships or to integrate auditory and visual information.
Dysphoria - Noun A state of feeling unwell or unhappy.
Dystopia - Noun An imaginary place where people are unhappy and generally afraid because they are not treated fairly.
Eugenics - Noun The study or belief in the possibility of improving the quality of the human species or population.
Eulogy - Noun A speech that praises or honors someone who has died.
Euphony - Noun A pleasing or sweet sound; especially the acoustic effect produced by words combined as to please the ear.
Euphoria - Noun A feeling of great happiness and excitement.
Euthanasia - Noun The act or practice of killing someone who is very sick or injured to prevent further suffering.
Amenity - Noun Something that makes life easier or more pleasant.
Eschew - Verb To avoid something because one does not think it is right or proper.
Nascent - Adjective Beginning to exist; recently formed or developed.
Substantiate - Verb To prove the truth of something.
Tenable - Adjective Capable of being defended against attack or criticism.
Greek Prefix/Root: dys Means: Bad, wrong, difficult.
Greek Prefix/Root: Eu Means: Good, well, normal, happy.
