| net | a net is a two-dimensional figure that you fold to make a three-dimensional figure. |
| cube | a cube is a three-dimensional figure with six sides that are congruent squares. |
| congruent figures | congruent figures have the same sides and shape. |
| rectangular prism | a rectangular prism is a three-dimensional with six rectangular faces. opposite faces are congruent and parallel. |
| face | a face is a flat surface. |
| edge | a place where 2 faces meet. |
| vertex | a point where 3 or more faces meet. |
| prism | a shape that has at least three faces that are rectangles. |
| base | the top and bottom faces which are congruent parallel polygons. |
| triangular prism | a three-dimensional figure that has 5 faces, 9 edges, and 6 vertices |
| volume | an amount of space inside a three-dimensional figure. |
| unit cube | a unit cube has a volume of one cubic unit, or 1 unit cube. |
| cubic unit | a cubic unit is a unit for measuring volume. |
