Solving linear equations

QuestionAnswer
How many steps to solving Linear equations? 6 steps
How do you clear away fractions if they are there? By multiplying the denominator by both side of the equations.
How do you remove parentheses ? By the distributive property .
How do you simplify? By combining like terms.
How do you get all variables on one side and numbers on the other? By the addition property.
How would you get the variable alone? By the multiplication property.
How do you know if it is correct? Check by replacing the solution of X in the equation.
