How did enviroment affect the development of the cultures of the Northwest Coast and the Southwest? In the Ice Age, people were nomads who depended on hunting large animals to survive. As climate grew warmer and drier, people depended on plants. The people hunted smaller animals when the larger animals became extinct.
What was the most important resource for the peoples of the Northwest? Why? Ocean- It was their only resource.
For what purpose did the Mound Builder culture use earthen mounds? mounds buried their dead in mounds- they held the bodies of tribal leaders and often filled them with gifts *like inca. Religious purposes.

What were the problems in the Aztec Empire? The Aztecs ordered the other people they had conquered to hand over more people to sacrifice.Finally, the people that they conquered rebelled against being sacrificed.

Who made the sacrifice of human blood to make sure that the sun god was happy? Priests.
What was Inca location like? The Inca civilization developed in the Andes Mountains of South America. The Inca first settled in the Valley of Cuzco, in modern Peru. A kingdom was built in this area by the 1200s AD.
What did Inca believe about their ruler? their ruler was related to the sun god; Inti, who would bring wealth and power to them. Only men from one of the 11 noble families believed to be the descendants of the sun god could serve as a king.
How long did Inca rule the area for? over 200 years.
What was Inca enviroment like? difficult environment and dealt with harsh physical conditions such as worms weather, traveled long distances to communicate and trade, t region was difficult to farm, and earthquakes.
Where did Inca build a city and what was it called? In the sky, Machu Pichu.
What was Inca common langauge? Quechua
Who were the most importan Incan Gods? Creator god and sun god.
