Lesson 7 vocabulary terms and definitions

In- not
Inactive Adj. 1. Not moving or active 2. No longer in use
Informal Adj. Casual, relaxed, not formal
Insignificant Adj. Not significant, unimportant, lacking power or value
Insomnia n. An ongoing condition of being unable to fall or stay asleep
Semi- Half or partly
Semiannual adj. Occurring in half a year, every six months
Semicolon n. A punctuation mark that signals a break in a sentence, halfway between the full stop of a period and the short pause of a comma
Semiconscious adj. Half or partly awake, not fully conscious, in a daze
Semiformal adj. Requiring good clothes rather than play clothes
Semiprecious adj. Having only part of the value of a precious gemstone
