nonpolar molecule a molecule that does not have oppositely charged ends
oxidation number a positive or negative number that indicates how many electrons an atom has lost, gained or shared when bonding with other atoms
polar molecule a molecule with opposite charges on each end
polyatomic ion group of covalently bonded atoms in which the whole group is positively or negatively charged
toxic hazardous substance that can injure living issue
toxic compounds that are poisonous
