animal classification sort animals into groups based on common characteristics or traits
mammal vertebrate that has lungs, gets milk from its mother, and has hair or fur
amphibian cold-blooded vertebrate, can live on land and water. Many are born with gills and then grow lungs.
bird vertebrate that has a beak, two wings, two legs, and lungs; lay eggs; the only animals with feathers
