Football terms

TermDefinition
score The number of points at the end of the game.
team A group of players who play together against another team.
defender A player who tries to stop the other team from scoring goals.
striker A player who tries to score goals.
penalty box The place where the players have to stay for the duration of their penalty.
foul An action against the rules.
goalkeeper A player who tries to stop the ball from entering the goal.
match A football game.
referee The person who administers the game.
midfield The middle of the football field.
