What does namp stand for? Naval aviation maintenance program
What is the objective of the namp? Improve aviation material readiness and safety standards
Who is in charge of the namp? Chief of naval operations
Maintenance officer (mo) Responsible to the co for the accomplishment of the departments mission
Aircraft maintenance officer (amo) Assist the mo in performance of duties and keep mo fully informed of department matters. Inspects spaces, acts as administrative officer in their absence, manages the SE training and licensing program
Maintenance/material control officer (mmco) Responsible for overall production and material support of the department
Maintenance master chief petty officer Maintain assigned aircraft in an RFT status while providing training for those in maintenance department to improve the maintenance process.
Quality assurance officer (qao) Ensure personnel assigned to perform qa functions receive continuous training in inspecting, testing, and quality control methods
Material control officer (mco) Handling of finances and materials
What are the three levels the namp is founds on? O-level, I-level, d-level
O-level Maintenance performed by an operating unit on a day to day basis in support of its own operations
I-level Provides quality and timely material support at the nearest location with the lowest practical resource expenditure
D-level Performed at or by FRC sites to ensure continued flying of airframes and flight systems. Rebuilding of parts.
