Adding and Subtracting Decimals

TermDefinition
Associative Property of Addition The way that the numbers are grouped does not change the sum.
Commutative Property of Addition The property that states that the order in which the number are added does not change the sum.
decimal A number that has a digit in the tenths place
difference The answer to a subtraction problem.
Identity Property of Addition The property that states that the sum of any number and 0 equals that number.
inverse operations Operations that undo each other.
