Multiplying and Dividing Decimals

TermDefinition
compatible numbers numbers that are easy to compute mentally
decimal point A period separating the ones and the tenths in a decimal number.
decimal A number with digits in the tenths place
estimate A number close to an exact value (shows about how much).
pattern A sequence of numbers
power of ten A number like 10
product The answer to a multiplication problem.
quotient The answer to a division problem.
round To find the approximate value of a number.
