3) Native American Groups (SPANS) | Southwest, Plains, Arctic, Northeast Woodland, Southeast |
4) Southwest | (Hopi, Pueblo) Known for: Cliff Dwellings |
5) Plains | (Sioux, Comanche, Witchita) Known for: Bison hunting and use of teepees |
6) Arctic | (Eskimos, Inuit) Known for: use of Kayaks and dog sleds |
7) Northeast Woodlands | (Iroquois/Algonquins) Known for: Iroquois League and long houses |
8) Southeast | (Cherokee, Creek) Mound vuilding |
9) Mercantilism | Economic system which depends upon the establishment of colonies to build wealth |
10) Persecution | To punish somebody because of their race, ethnicity or social group |
11) Protestant Reformation | Revolution against the Catholic church in 1577 which led to the Protestant sect |
12) Sect | A small group of religious followers with slightly different beliefs than the larger group |
