Audacity N. The willingness to take bold risks
Altruistic Adj. Unselfish generosity and care for others
Astute Adj. Smart and observant; having the ability to accurately assess a situation and take advantage of it
Carp V. Complain or criticize (usually about trivial matters)
Covert Adj. Secret, concealed, clandestine, surreptitious
Dilatory Adj. Slow to act, acting in a manner to cause delay
Esteem N. Respect and admiration
Fortuitous Adj. Something that happens by accident of chance (usually good)
Guileless Adj. Innocent and honest
Hackneyed Adj. Overused, boring, trite, banal, lacking freshness
Humility N. A humble, modest view of one’s own importance
Illustrious Adj. Well known, admired
Insatiable Adj. Always wanting more; having a desire that is so strong it is incapable of being satisfied
Loquacious Adj. Very talkative
Neurotic Adj. Emotionally unstable; unusually sensitive, obsessive, or anxious
Porous Adj. Something that permits the passage of liquid or air through pores (tiny holes)
Plight N. Difficult situation
Saccharine N. Excessively sweet, overly sentimental
Sonorous Adj. Producing a full and rich sound, resonant.
Taciturn Adj. Quiet, not speaking a lot
