| Quantitative Data | Numerical measurements rather than its words |
| Qualitative Data | Data in words rather than in numbers |
| Precipitate | a solid that is produced by a chemical reaction in solution |
| Specific Heat | the heat required to raise the temperature of the mass of a given substance by given amount |
| Atom | smallest particle of a substance that can exist by itself |
| Electron Cloud | system of electrons surrounding the nucleus of an atom |
| Mass Number | sum of the protons and neutrons in the nucleus of an atom |
| Metalloid | element with the properties of both metals and nonmetals |
| Density | mass per unit of volume |
| Significant Figure | the figure of a number that express a magnitude to a specified degree of accuracy |
| Isotope | atoms with same number of protons but not the same nunber of neutrons |
| Nuclear Fusion | reaction in which the nuclei of one atom combines with the nuclei of another to form a larger nuclei |
| Atomic Number | Number of protons in the nucleus in an atom |
| Noble Gas | Group 18 in the periodic table with a full outer shell |
