TermDefinition
The coherence test checks the internal consistency of a worldview to see if ones specific values and beliefs contradict any other beliefs within the worldview
The correspondence test examines how well a worldview correspond to reality. It evaluates evidences and experience to see if the worldviews match with what one perceives in the real world
The practical test evaluates a worldviews livability. Does the worldview bring satisfaction as one faces life’s challenges, or is it found to be lacking

• Ethics c. How do we know right from wrong
• Nature of the universe d. Is there a spiritual part to the universe
• Purpose e. Does life have meaning
• Human nature f. Are humans merely higher orders of mammals?
Open system is god has a great influence on the world that we exist in
Close System is God does not have an influence on the world but let’s other factor like nature to be the main influence our environment.
• Theism a. Belief in a personal and relational God who created and sustains all that exists
• Deism b. Belief in a God who created all things but is not relational or involved in the world:
• Pantheism c. Belief that “all is god” and a strong sense of spiritualism but not in a personal God
• Atheism d. Belief based only on the natural or physical realm with no spiritual or supernatural:
definitions and descriptions of worldview found in the textbook and lecture • All worldviews try to answer the questions: what is real, what is true, how can we be saved.• Worldviews is supported by both faith and reason. Every worldview requires both faith and reason.
