| numerator | The top number of a fracton that shows how many parts of the whole you have. |
| Denominator | The number below the line in a fraction. It tells the number of the equal parts into which a whole is divided. |
| Mixed fraction | A fraction that includes wholes in part. |
| Benchmark: | A number such as 0, 1/2, or 1 whole that help with estimating. Example: 4/5 is closer to 1 whole. |
| Common Denominator: | Denominators in two or more fractions that are the same. |
| Equivalent Fraction | Fractions that have the same value. |
| Fractions that have the same value. | Fractions that have the same value. |
| Simplest Form | A fraction is in simplest form when the greatest common factor of the numerator and denominator is 1. Example: 3/9 in simplest form is 1/3 |
