TermDefinition
Linear Pair 2 angles that make a line, share a side. Also supplementary- equal 180
Equilateral Are sides are congruent.
Equiangular All interior angles are congruent.
Biconditional Both the conditional and its converse are true. -contains phrase "if and only if"
Collinear 2 points on the same line.
Coplanar 2 lines or 3 points on the same plain.
Skew Lines 2 lines that do not intersect, not coplanar .
Transversal A line intersects two or more lines.
Alternate exterior Opposite sides of the transversal.
Consecutive interior Same side of transversal
Circumcenters Are equidistanct from the 3 vertices.
Centroids Cut the medians into 1/3 and 2/3 length segments, and connect angles and midpoints.
Incenters Are equal distant away from each side by drawing a perpendicular line.
Orthocenters Can finish inside, on, or outside of the triangle and go from a vertex to a point perpendicular on the opposite side.
Midsegments Lines connecting two midpoints, are parallel with the side they do not touch, and are half that sides length.
Perimeter Distance around an object.
Circumference Perimeter of a circle.
Area Amount of space an object occupies.
Proof Logical argument showing the statement is true.
Regular Polygon Convex polygon that is both.
Bisector Divides the angle in half.
Congruent 2 segments have the same length/measures.
Point Has no dimention.
Line One dimension extends without end.
Plane 2-D represented by a shape has no end, three points.
Segment Has two endpoints.
Ray Consists endpoint.
Intersection Set of points have in common.
Isometric Drawing A 3-D drawing of an object.
Inequality Theorem The sum of the lengths of any 2 sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the 3rd side.

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.

If you've accidentally put the card in the wrong box, just click on the card to take it out of the box.

You can also use your keyboard to move the cards as follows:

If you are logged in to your account, this website will remember which cards you know and don't know so that they are in the same box the next time you log in.

When you need a break, try one of the other activities listed below the flashcards like Matching, Snowman, or Hungry Bug. Although it may feel like you're playing a game, your brain is still making more connections with the information to help you out.
