Depth and Complexity

QuestionAnswer
Language of the Discipline Vocabulary, skills, tasks, and tools, that benefit society and are specific to the discipline
Details Explanation of key ideas, traits, parts, factors, and finding features
Patterns Find repeating parts, elements, or events
Unanswered Questions Find hidden ideas, write down summaries that can be taken further, note confusion of meaning in language
Rules Organization, sequence of events, protocols, and main factors
Ethics Find elements that show unfairness, find important ideas, note different perspectives, look at both sides (i.e. the good and the bad)
Trends Find things that influence events to occur (i.e. social, economic, political, geographic), identify changes
Big ideas Find a main statement that creates a summary using supporting details
Changes Over Time Describe connections between time, describe the way things develope
Across the Disciplines State the area of study (i.e. math and art, music and history, science and literature)
Different Perspectives Find different points of view, learn about differences
