Fraction A comparison of parts to a whole
Simplest form When the numerator and the denominator of a fraction have no common factors other than one.
Denominator The name given to the bottom number of a fraction.
Numerator This is the name given to the top number of a fraction.
Equivalent fractions Two fractions that are equal.
Mixed numbers Is a number made up of a whole number and a fraction.
Improper fraction When the numerator is bigger than the denominator in a fraction.
