Rectangles and Multiplication

TermDefinition
rectangle a quadrilateral that has four right angles.
right angle an angle that forms a square corner, it is often marked with a small square
square a rectangle with all four sides of equal length
length the measure of one of the longer sides of a rectangle
width the measure of one of the shorter sides of a rectangle
unit any standard object or quantity used for measurement
multiplication an operation that uses a number as an addend a specified number of times
factor any one of the numbers multiplied in a multiplication factor
product the result of multiplication
multiplication table a table used to find the product of two numbers. The product of two numbers is found at the intersection of the row and the column for two numbers.
array a rectangular arrangement of numbers or symbols in columns and rows.
century A period of one hundred years.
perimeter the distance around a closed, flat shape
