Point Has no dimension and is represented by a small dot.
Line A set of points in a straight path that extends infinitely in both directions.
Perpendicular lines Two lines that form a right angle at their point of intersection.
Reflection Transformation where a figure can be flipped.
Segment A finite portion of a line that has 2 endpoints.
Collinear Three or more points that lie in the same line.
Translation A transformation where a figure can be slid.
Plane A flat surface that extends infinitely in all directions.
Ray A portion of a line that extends from one endpoint indefinitely in one direction.
Coplanar Three or more points that lie in the same plane.
Isometry A transformation that preserves length. Also called a rigid transformation.
Transformation The operations that maps, or moves, a pre-image onto an image.
Rotation Transformation where a figure can be turned; generally at a fixed point.
Dilation Transformation where a figure can be enlarged or reduced.
Skew Two lines that do not intersect and are not coplanar.
