Scientific Notation a number that is expressed as a product of a factor and a power of 10
Exponent tells how many times a number is used as a factor
Negative Exponent the result of repeated division
Monomial a number, variable, or product of numbers and/or variables
Power a number that is expressed using an exponent
Square Root one of number's two equal factors
Irrational Number a number that cannot be written as a fraction
Base the number that is being repeatedly multiplied in an exponent problem
