Who is Atticus Finch? A southern lawyer whose wife has died. He is raising his two children alone.
Who is Scout Finch? The narrator of the story. She is a 6 year old white girl.
Who is Jem Finch? A 10 year old boy, brother to the narrator.
Who is Calpurnia? A black woman who works as a housekeeper and nanny. She is wise and acts as a mother figure.
Who is Tom Robinson? A black man who has been accused of raping a white woman.
Who is Bob Ewell? The main antagonist, father to Mayella Ewell
Who is Dill? The Finch children's best friend. He visits in the summer and stays with his aunt. He does not have a father.
Who is Walter Cunningham? A young boy who is very poor. Parents are farmers and are friends of the Finch's
Who is Mayella Ewell? The woman who was raped by Tom Robinson. The daughter of Bob Ewell.
Who is Boo Radley? A man who never leaves his house. Saves the children numerous of times.
Who said "One down, one to go"? Scout
Who said "Remember it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."? Atticus
Who said "No sir, they oughta do away with juries. He [Tom] wasn't guilty in the first place and they said he was. Jem
Who said "He's a Cunningham"? Scout
Who said, "There's some folks who don't eat like us, "she whispered fiercely, "but you ain't called on to contradict 'em at the table when they don't. That boy's yo' comp'ny and if he wants to eat up the tablecloth you let him, you hear?" Calpurnia
What is Symbolism? An object or a word that represent's an idea or abstract idea.
What is a Character Foils? A character who is involved with another character usually the protagonist and antagonist.
What is a Protagonist? The leading character or major character.
What is Irony? The expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, normally for humorous/empathetic effect.
What is Foreshawdoing? A Warning or indication of a future event
What is an Antagonist? A person who actively opposes the protagonist or an idea.
