Formal regions A formal region is Defined by government or other structures (cities, towns, states & countries.
Perceptual regions A perceptual region is defined by people’s feelings & attitudes about an area, basically their perception.
Climate regions Measured by assessing the patterns of variation in temperature, humidity, wind and precipitation.
Political regions Political maps are based on political units such as sovereign states, provinces, countries, territories, townships, etc.
Functional regions Functional Regions are made up of a central place and surrounding areas affected by it.
How does the Earth-Sun relationship affect the climate of different regions of the world? Different areas of the globe receiving differing amounts of sunlight.
The landforms created by plate tectonics Mountains, Rift Valleys, Volcanoes, Ocean Trenches.
How do mountains affect the climate on the leeward side? The temperatures would be warm and the amounts of precipitation low.
Describe the annual precipitation and average rainfall of tropical biomes There is about an average of 50 to 260 inches of rainfall yearly. Often more than 100 inches a year.
