| meritocracy | a system based on personal skill or merit |
| relative age phenomenon | A strange phenomenon that shows that AGE is mistaken for SKILL when 3 criteria are met: when there is selection (relative to a registration deadline & age) , streaming and differentiated experience. |
| accumulative advantage | when a small advantage at the beginning leads to more and more opportunities that others do not have, and then makes a bigger and bigger which then makes the "small" advantage actually turn into a "huge" advantage. |
