| Prism | A solid with two parallel congruent bases that are both polygons. |
| Polygon | A two-dimensional (plane) shape with straight sides. |
| Net | A two-dimensional pattern that can be folded to form a solid. |
| Pyramid | A solid that has only one base and its faces are all triangles. |
| Cross-Section | The intersection of a solid figure and a plane. |
| Lateral Face | A face that is not a base on a solid figure. |
| Right Prism | A prism where the bases are directly above each other, creating lateral faces that are perpendicular to the bases. |
| Lateral Area | The sum of the areas of the lateral faces. |
| Surface Area | The sum of the areas of the lateral faces and the areas of the bases of a prism. |
| Slant Height | The height of a triangular face. |
| Volume | This measures the space occupied by a solid. |
| Complex Solid | This is formed when two or more solids are put together. |
