TermDefinition
Circle A set of points (in the same plane) that are an equal distance from a given point; equal 360 degrees.
Plane A flat surface that extends in all directions.
Center A given middle point of a circle.
Circumference The distance around a circle.
Diameter A line segment through the center of a circle with both endpoints on the circle.
Radius A line segment with one endpoint on the center and the other endpoint on the circle.
Composite Figure Made up of two or more geometric figures.
Semicircle An arc whose measure is half of a circle.
Inscribed Figure A figure that is placed inside another figure so that it fits exactly within.
Decomposing When you divide a composite figure into smaller figures.
