What is Flamenco? An artistic expression fusing song (cante), dance (baile) and musicianship (toque) that originated in Spain.
What is the Cuatro? A Latin American instrument that is from the family of the guitar.
What is the Bandoneon? What is one famous musical piece played by it? An instrument that originated in Germany and was used to play the Argentina Tango.
What folklore does Andean Flute Music NOT include? Cuban folklore.
What is the heartland of Flamenco in Spain? Andalusia
What is Mariachi? A form of folk music from Mexico
What is Salsa? A music and dance style that resulted from the musical evolution of various types of Latin rhythms.
What is the Guitarra espanola? A prehispanic instrument.
What is the tango? A sensual ballroom dance that originated in Argentina that expresses elements of romance.
