Proportion Two ratios that are equivalent are said to be in proportion
Equivalent ratio Two ratios which have the same value when simplified.
Percent One part of a hundred.
Linear relationship the relationship between two variables in which as one increases, the other value increases at a constant rate.
Proportional relationship a relationship between two equal ratios
Slope is a measure of steepness of a line
y- intercept y intercept is the point where the line cuts the y axis
Origin Origin is where the x and the y axis meets
Quadrant a coordinate plane is divided into 4 quadrants
Coordinates a group of numbers used to represent the location of a point in a coordinate plane
Simple Interest A quick method of calculating loan amount through fixed interest rate
Tax Amount paid to the government
Mark Up the amount added to the cost price of goods to make a profit.
Markdown a reduction in price, discount,the amount by which a price is reduced.
Commission amount of money an employee earns when they sell something in addition to their salary
Expression A mathematical phrase that contains operations, numbers, and/or variables
Equation A mathematical sentence that shows that two expressions are equal
