What does hablar mean? To speak
Yo (habla)? Yo hablo
Tu/ (habla)? Tu/ hablas
Usted-E/l-Ella (habla)? Usted-E/l-Ella habla
What does vivir mean? To live (in a place)
Yo (vivir)? Yo vivo
Tu/ (vivir)? Tu vives
Usted/E/l-Ella (vivir)? Usted-E/l-Ella vive
What does Llamar(se) mean? To call
Yo (llamar)? Yo me llamo
Tu/ (llamar)? Tu/ te llamas
Usted-E/l-Ella (llamar)? Usted-E/l-Ella se llama
What classes of verbs are there in spanish? Regular and irregular
What are regular verbs? Verbs that conjugate following a pattern
What are the three types of regular verbs? What do they depend on? They are the -ar verbs (e.g. hablar), the -er verbs (e.g. comer), and the -ir verbs (e.g. vivir). They depend on the termination of the word.
What are irregular verbs? Verbs that change completely as they are conjugated e.g. Ser
What does ser mean? To be
Yo (ser)? Yo soy - I am
Tu/ (ser)? Tu/ eres - You are
Usted-E/l-Ella (ser)? Usted-E/l-Ella es - You-he-she is
When is yo and tu/ included? They are included when the subject needs to be highlighted.
