Element This is one of the squares on the periodic table that has its own chemical and physical properties.
Chemical Reaction A chemical reaction is a process that involves the rearrangement of the elements in a specific compound.
Reactant This is the substance in a compound that actually reacts during a chemical reaction.
Product This is a new substance formed during a chemical reaction.
Open System When mass is kept inside the system but energy can enter and leave freely.
Closed System This system can only exchange energy but not matter.
Law of Conservation of Mass When mass can not be created or destroyed when used in a reaction.
