| corrupt | immoral or dishonest, especially as shown by exploitation of a position of power or trust for personal gain |

| intercede | to plead with somebody in authority on behalf of somebody else, especially somebody who is to be punished for something |
| concede | to accept or acknowledge defeat in a contest, debate, election or fight |
| benediction | a prayer or blessing |
| benefactor | somebody who helps a cause, institution, or person - especially with a gift of money |
| beneficial | causing a good result; advantageous |
| indifferent | showing no care or concern; uninterested |
| proliferate | to increase or spread at a rapid rate |
| referendum | a general vote made by the people of a country for or against a particular government proposal |
