acknowledge verb - to admit the truth, existence, or reality of something OR to show you have received something.
conform verb - to follow rules or customs
invalid adjective - not effective or legal
justify verb - to demonstrate that something is right or fair; to defend with reasons
uphold verb - to maintain or support in the face of possible opposition
bliss noun - extreme joy, leading to being at peace
compassion noun - the feeling of sharing the suffering of another
dismay verb - to discourage, to upset noun - a sudden loss of courage or confidence, due to danger
sullen adjective - bad-tempered in a quite, gloomy way; sulky
wretched adjective - miserable; dreadful
