What are illustration words? Illustration words are indicating that an author is going to provide examples to clarify the idea.
What do the definition and example words mean? Its a definition and one or more examples .
what are comparison words? Comparison words are signals of similarities.
What are contrast words? Contrast words are to show the differences one or more ways.
What are some common comparison words? (just) as,(just) like,alike ,same ,both ,equal(ly),resemble,likewise,in like fashion,in like manner,similar(ly),similarity,in a similar fashion,in a similar manner,(in)the same way,(in) common
What are transitions? Transitions are words that show the relationship between ideas
what are addition words? Addition words signal added ideas,they organize the information to present it clearly.
What are some of the common addition words? one,first (of all),second(ly),third(ly),to begin with,for one thing,other ,another,also, in addition , next ,moreover,further,furthermore,last(of all),final(ly)
What are time words? Time words are used when a time relationships are indicated.
