| line | a set of connecting points that go on forever in both directions |
| side | one of the line segments that makes a two-dimensional face |
| plane | a flat surface that goes on forever in all directions |
| square | a rectangle with four equal sides and four right angles |
| base | a special face of a three-dimensional figure |
| symmetry | when a shape is exactly the same if you flip or turn it over a line |
| sphere | a three-dimensional figure shaped like a ball |
| vertex | a point where two or more straight lines or faces meet to form an angle |
| cube | a three-dimensional shape that has six equal square faces |
| angle | a figure made of two rays that meet at the same endpoint |
| figure | another name for a two dimensional or three dimensional shape |
| circle | a closed, round, two-dimensional shape |
| edge | the line segment where two faces meet on a three-dimensional figure |
| solid | a figure with three dimensions: height, width and depth |
| face | the flat surface of a three-dimensional solid |
| rectangular prism | a three-dimensional figure with six rectangular faces |
| rectangle | a quadrilateral with four two pairs of congruent, parallel sides, and four right angles |
