TermDefinition
Claim Serves one of the following purposes; clarify a definition, explain a cause of effect, make a judgement, advocate an action.
Evidence facts, examples, data that supports the claim.
Warrant Explanation of how evidence is linked to the claim.
Counter claim A statement that disagrees with the claim
Rebuttal to contradict or oppose the counterclaim, expose counterclaim as fake
Conclusion often a call to action in the persuasive argument, advocating an action
transitions phases or words used to connect one idea to the next
Persuasive argument a mature, clear, logical way of thinking thag persuades an audience, when written formally includes claim,evidence, warrants, Counterclaim, rebuttal and conclusion
