Shakespeare Lit Term

Drama a story written by to be acted for an audience
Tragedy a play, novel other narrative that depicts serious and important events when the character comes to an unhappy ending
Prologue A short introduction at the beginning of a play that gives a brief overview of the plot
Chorus A group who says thing at the same time
Static Character character who does not change during the story
Dynamic Charcter who changes throughout the story
Aside mumble under their breath
Blank verse unrhymed iambic petameter
Couplet two consecutive linear of poetry that rhyme
Iambic meter unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable
Iambic Pentameter five verse feet with each foot an imab (a total of 10 syllables)
Pun the numerous use of a word or phrase to sagged two more meaningly at the same time
