Radicals and radical functions

Radical Any expression containing a radical sign
Perfect square The product of a rational number multiplied by itself (4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81)
Perfect cube The product of multiplying a number by itself 3 times (1, 8, 27, 64, 125, 216, 343)
radicand Number under a radical sign
Index Number that represents how many times to multiply a number by itself
Product Rule The product of two radicals is the radical of the product (Does NOT apply to addition or subtraction)
Quotient Rule The quotient of two radicals is the radical of the quotient
