heterotroph an organism that gets its energy by eating other organisms
carnivore an organism that eats meat or other animals

primary consumer a meat-eater (consumer) that eats autotrophs (producers)
secondary consumer a meat-eater that eats primary consumers
tertiary consumer(3rd level) a meat-eater that eats secondary consumers
quaternary consumer(4th level) a meat-eater that eats tertiary consumers
