| Term | Definition |

| Stomach | The place where your food goes after you swallow it. It contains acids and enzymes to aid digestion. |
| Arteries | The flexible tubes that carry oxygenated blood around the body. |
| Muscles | Tissue containing fibers which contract to produce movement. There are hundreds of different types throughout your body. |
| Tendon | The flexible chord that attaches muscle to bone. |
| Brain | The organ of soft tissue in the skull which coordinates nerve activity, movement, sensation, and thought. |
| Lungs | Organs for breathing, which take oxygen from the air and remove carbon dioxide from the body. |
| Skeleton | The internal framework of bones which supports the body. |
| Heart | The organ in the chest which pumps blood around the body. |
| Nerves | The whitish fibre or group of fibres that transmit sensations to the brain or spinal cord, and messages to the muscles and organs. |
| Intestines | The long tube from the stomach which continues the process of digestion and takes waste out of the body. |
| Liver | The organ that performs many functions, including processing fats and eliminating toxins. |
| Kidneys | The pair of organs that regulate the balance of liquids in the body and eliminate waste from the blood. |
