| Antagonism | An active hostility or opposition, as between unfriendly or conflicting groups |
| Bellicose | Inclined or eager to fight; aggressively hostile; belligerent; pugnacious. |
| Belligerent | 1. Of warlike character; aggressively hostile; bellicose 2. Waging war; engaged in war |
| Cantankerous | disagreeable to deal with; contentious; peevish |
| Captious | Apt to notice and make much of trivial faults or defects; faultfinding; difficult to please. |
| Contentious | 1. Tending to argument or strife; quarrelsome 2. Causing, involving, or characterized by argument or controversy |
| Disputatious | Fond of or given to disputation; argumentative; contentious |
| Polemical | 1. A controversial argument, as one against some opinion, doctrine, etc. 2. A person who argues in opposition to another; controversialist. |
